Tithonia Red Torch (Mexican Sunflower; Tithonia rotundifolia), an All-America Selections winner in 1951, is a member of the sunflower family bearing 3½-inch flowers with orange discs surrounded by vivid orange-red petals on highly branched 5-foot plants. It is spectacular in mass plantings and a proven magnet for butterflies.
