Growing tips

🌱Direct sow in early spring — Tendergreen’s cold-tolerant seed germinates earlier than most cucumber varieties, giving you a head start on the season. Can also be started indoors 2–3 weeks before last frost for even earlier harvests.

💧Water deeply and consistently at the base. Cucumbers are mostly water — steady moisture produces crisp, non-bitter fruits. Drip irrigation or deep watering every 2–3 days is ideal. Avoid wetting the foliage.

✂️Harvest at 5–6" for pickling or up to 12" for slicing — the tender skin means no peeling required at any size. Pick every 2–3 days to keep plants producing all season long.
