Old German Tomato is a magnificent bi-colored heirloom that produces jaw-dropping 2-pound fruits larger than salad plates, with a stunning marbled interior of red and yellow and a flavor that's richer and more distinctly tomato-forward than other bi-colored varieties. The slight increase in acid content over similar yellow tomatoes gives it better shelf life without sacrificing the natural sweetness that makes it exceptional for slicing, making a vivid yellow ketchup, or simply eating with nothing but flaky salt.
