Growing tips

🌱Direct sow after last frost when soil reaches 60°F. Don’t start indoors — beans dislike transplanting. Sow 1–2" deep, 4–6" apart along your trellis or pole structure.

🧱Set up a sturdy trellis, teepee, or pole system before planting — vines reach 6–8 feet and need solid support. A simple cattle panel or bamboo teepee works great and looks beautiful in the garden.

💧Water consistently at the base, especially during flowering and pod set. Avoid overhead watering which can promote fungal disease. Beans fix their own nitrogen — no heavy feeding needed.

✂️Harvest pods when firm and snap cleanly — before seeds inside begin to bulge. Pick regularly to keep plants producing. Left too long, pods become tough and the plant slows down production.
