Growing tips

🌱Start indoors 4 to 6 weeks before last frost or direct sow after frost danger has passed. Cucamelons are slow to start but take off quickly once warm weather arrives — patience pays off.

🌿Provide a trellis, fence, or netting for vines to climb. Trellising keeps fruit clean, improves air circulation, and makes harvesting the tiny fruits much easier.

✂️Harvest when fruits are grape-sized — about ¾ to 1" long. They’re easy to miss among the foliage, so check plants every day or two. Overripe fruits become seedy and less flavorful.

🍽️Pop them straight off the vine as a snack, toss into salads, pickle in brine for a crunchy condiment, or muddle into cocktails and agua fresca for a unique, refreshing twist.
