Growing tips

🌱Direct sow after last frost when soil is warm. Plant 2 to 3 seeds per hill and thin to the strongest plant. Squash germinates quickly in warm soil and takes off fast once established.

✂️Harvest when fruits are 4 to 6" long for peak tenderness and flavor. Don’t let them get large — oversized crookneck becomes seedy and tough. Check plants daily once fruiting begins.

💧Water deeply at the base and avoid wetting leaves to reduce powdery mildew risk. Consistent moisture produces the most tender, flavorful fruits throughout the season.
