Contender Bean (Bush)
Contender Bush Bean is a highly productive heirloom snap bean that earned its name by outperforming competitors in trials across a wide range of climates and soil conditions. The 6–8 inch pods are stringless, crisp, and tender with a clean, sweet flavor that's excellent fresh, steamed, or preserved by freezing. One of the earliest-maturing bush beans available at 48–55 days, it's a reliable first crop of the summer and a dependable performer when other varieties struggle.
