Developed in 1917 from a cross between Marvel and Globe and released by the USDA in 1925, Marglobe has remained in demand for generations while other varieties have come and gone. This improved strain produces medium-sized, 5 to 8 oz red fruits with firm walls and excellent flavor on stocky, vigorous plants that offer good disease tolerance and protection from sunscald.
