Jackson Wonder Butterbean Bush Lima Bean
An 1888 heirloom credited to Georgia farmer Thomas Jackson, Jackson Wonder is a beloved butterbean that thrives especially well under hot and dry conditions. Each pod contains 3 to 5 seeds that are a vibrant red when fresh, turning to a buff color with distinctive purple-black mottling when dried. The variety is widely adapted, performing well in southern regions and proving resilient in northern areas too, and is excellent enjoyed either fresh or dried.
