This indeterminate heirloom originating from the Black Forest region of Germany was introduced in 1994 by SESE, passed down through Joe Bratka's grandfather. It is known for exceptional performance in hot, humid climates and offers excellent disease resistance, including some protection against late blight. The smooth, round, pink-purple fruits weigh 5–7 oz and are among the most blemish-free tomatoes available, with a soft, tender texture and superb flavor that makes them easy to peel as well.
