Dating to 1947, Danvers 126 is a widely adapted, productive, and heat-tolerant variety with dark-orange roots 6 to 7 inches long and about 2 inches at the shoulder, tapering to a blunt point. It is especially suited to clay soils, the strong tops aid harvesting, and it is an excellent storage variety.
