This Texas heirloom, brought from Oklahoma by Marshall Crawford's family, is a fast-growing favorite known for its great flavor and heat resistance. The green bibb lettuce, slightly savoyed with some red/brown on the leaf edges, thrives in both summer heat and winter cold. In Texas, it’s planted in the fall and winter, while in Virginia, it holds up well through hot summer days and chilly winters. A standout variety, beloved by SESE founder Jeff McCormack.
