Bowling Red Okra has been grown by the Bowling family of Virginia since the 1920s and was rated one of the best varieties in the Kerr Center's trial of 30 heirloom okras. Plants reach 7–8 feet tall with red stems and red-veined leaves, and produce long, slim, tender red pods.
