Yellow Pear is an heirloom dating to before 1800, producing pear-shaped yellow tomatoes about 1½ by ¾ inches with a mild flavor. Plants are very productive and heat-resistant, though fruits are prone to splitting if not watered regularly, and are excellent for fresh snacking or for making preserves.
