Southport White Globe Onion is a versatile and mild-flavored long-day heirloom that produces 2-inch, uniformly round white bulbs with a sweet, crisp character that's outstanding for pickling whole, using as pearl onions in creamed preparations and braises, or growing on as a bunching onion for fresh use. The clean, mild flavor makes it less pungent than yellow or red storage onions and particularly suitable for preparations where a gentle onion presence is preferred.
