Habanero Pepper
Cultivated in the Yucatan, Trinidad, and West Indies, this very aromatic and flavorful hot pepper is a staple of Caribbean curries and jerk sauces. The thin-walled fruits measure 1¼ x 2 inches and ripen from green to orange-red with an intensely hot flavor. Plants eventually reach 3–4 feet tall and require a long, warm growing season.
