Evergreen Bunching Onion is the scallion that keeps on giving — non-bulbing clusters of 4–9 crisp, leek-like stalks that regrow throughout the season. Hardy enough to survive winters down to -30°F, it can be sown in spring or fall and will reseed year after year. Use thinnings and green stems anywhere you’d use chives. Growing tips

🌱Sow in spring for summer harvest, or plant in fall to overwinter. Bunching onions are remarkably cold-hardy — surviving temperatures as low as -30°F — and will divide and spread each season.

🪴Prefers loose, fertile, well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter. Shallow roots are sensitive to moisture swings — mulch around plants to retain water and suppress weeds.

🔄If overwintered, divide clumps in spring and spread out for continued production. These onions reseed naturally year after year — keep weeds out and they’ll keep coming back.

✂️Harvest as soon as stalks are large enough to eat. Use thinnings as chive substitutes in salads, soups, and stir-fries — nothing goes to waste with Evergreen.
