Introduced in 1941 and an All-America Selections winner, this sweet banana pepper produces heavy yields of 6 by 1-1/2 inch fruits that ripen from pale green to yellow, orange, and finally crimson red. The peppers can be eaten at any stage, though they are sweetest when fully red, and are ideal for colorful salads, frying, and freezing. Plants grow to 42 inches and perform especially well in the Mid-Atlantic region.
